Ladd Engineering Associates, Inc.
Charles M. Landstreet, Sr., P.E.
In 1938 Edward J. Ladd and F. H. Landstreet formed a partnership, under the name of Ladd Engineering Company, and provided engineering services related to WPA projects for municipal and county governments. In the late 1940’s the primary Ladd direction was toward Federal housing, municipal public works and the REA Electrical Program. With the inception of the REA Telephone Program in the early 1950’s Ladd migrated toward civil and telecommunications engineering.
In
1964 Ladd Engineering Associates, Inc. was formed with the original partners and

Ladd Engineering
found itself devoting nearly 100% of its practice to telecommunications
engineering.
In 1991 Consolidated Design Consultants in Kentucky was merged into Ladd Engineering forming the telecommunications organization that exists today.
Ladd Engineering employs over 80 people who provide engineering services for
more than 30 independent telephone companies, involving more than 300,000
access lines and over $25,000,000 in construction each year.
We have the capabilities of creating and maintaining an office presence in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee if the need dictates. Charles M. Landstreet, Sr., the President and Owner of Ladd Engineering Associates, is a Registered Professional Engineer in Alabama and Mississippi. Vice president, B. G. Ashley, is a Registered Professional Engineer in all of the aforementioned work related states. Full time personnel of qualified professional engineers, project engineers, routine engineers and drafting personnel are located at the headquarters office and on the various project sites.
